Since the beginning of last week, we have all be able to fill in our tax returns online. Those of us that still file their tax return on paper will receive their tax form in the post very soon. Filling in a tax return can often prove time-consuming and stressful and given the complexity of some returns; mistakes can easily be made. In future, those of us that make a mistake on our tax return will no longer have to worry about being given a fine automatically.

The consumers’ association Testaankoop has issued a warning to young people about the pitfalls of paying for festival tickets in installments. Testaankoop says that risk of paying in installments lies in the terms and conditions that can often result in stiff financial penalties is a person misses a payment.

The Brussels region has recognised Belgian chocolate as intangible cultural heritage. Belgian chocolate is an important economic activity in Brussels, with 150 companies producing or selling chocolate. Brussels was also where the world’s first pralines were made. The Brussels region hopes that UNESCO will eventually also recognise Belgian chocolate as intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Report: Saskia De Schutter.
